WHAT
Aller Press is more than just magazines. It’s a media house, which the digitalization of the magazines will support. All magazines need to be brought to life online and give a new dimension to the factual magazine that the users know and love. With the individual identity of each magazine in mind, must create a template easy to use for the web editor who will maintain the magazine sites.
WOW
Before starting up the design process, continual meeting were held with each editorial team of Aller. We uncovered the identity and focus areas for each magazine. Next, we developed 2 basic modules build on the same platform. The A module is topicality template for magazines published on a regular basics that contains a lot of news. The B module is a theme-oriented template for magazines published once a month. On top of that we developed light modules for i.e. competitions, special columns and other specific elements for each individual site.
All sites were carefully usability tested and In2media created a design manual with guidelines for each site that was handed over and rooted with the web editors. It’s Aller who is in charge of brining the unique identities to life on a daily basis.
